Objectives

    - Analyze global risks and international determinants at the national, subregional and regional levels; - Develop policies and strategies to strengthen the capacity of national health systems and ITS dependencies in solving international health problems, based on the promotion of equity, exchange, cooperation and solidarity; - Perform actions that lead to the formulation of coherent policies and plans, negotiating agreements and managing the technical and financial cooperation in fields and international actors for health of their populations.

    Description

    This course brings a program of international health leaders. Addressing the international health as a field of knowledge both as an area of practice, and their application to the context of their countries and the region. Program Leaders in International Health (LIHP) "Edmundo Granda Ugalde", is an important strategy for human resource development in the region of the Americas. This course aims to contribute to the development of the Health Agenda for the Americas 2008 - 2017 by strengthening the capacity of countries in the region to understand, act and influence positively on the international determinants of health, and to promote their interests and to achieve intersectoral health at the international, guided by the principle of greater global equity in health. The program is aimed at managers and decision makers of medium and high level performances and impact on city / state, national, subregional, regional or international levels: public health programs, international relations organizations in health and Academy action.
