Description
This course aims to support health managers in decision-making to develop health systems based on Primary HealthCare (PHC). The five modules presented here offer students the opportunity to review key aspects of PHC-based health systems, such as its values, principles, and essential elements. Moreover, students will be able to analyze the principal components for the implementation of the PHC Renewal strategy from the perspective of equitable access, integrated approach, and health services management. Also promotes the development of PHC renewal in the Region of the Americas through strengthening the capacities of health leaders and managers. This course targets leaders and managers of health systems and services, academics and health professionals who influence opinion groups. All the modules present the most relevant concepts, the current priority problems, and assignments to address PHC Renewal in practice. In each module, participants will be asked to analyze and develop specific products that will serve as inputs to draft a final intervention proposal. Module 1-4 include: brief introduction, specific objectives of the module, contents, main reading(s), additional Required reading(s), exercises to address problems, exercises to help draft the intervention proposal, virtual forum and optional references with links to websites on related subjects and/or tools.Details
