INTRODUCCION:
A 30 años de la reforma del modelo de atención de la salud, ¿cuál es la situación del programa de Salud Mental Comunitaria (SMC) en cuanto a las prestaciones realizadas en el Hospital Area Programa Ingeniero Huergo?OBJETIVO: Realizar un diagnóstico de situación evaluativo de las prestaciones realizadas desde el programa de SMC en dicho hospital entre 2005 y 2009.METODOS:
Investigación exploratoria con diseño cuali-cuantitativo. Para la dimensión cuantitativa se utilizaron fuentes secundarias disponibles y se realizó análisis estadístico descriptivo. En la dimensión cualitativa se realizaron entrevistas individuales y grupales al equipo de Salud Mental (SM), que indagaron la caracterización cuantitativa encontrada en relación al modelo teórico del programa de SMC. Se realizó un análisis temático de datos cualitativos. Se utilizó la triangulación como estrategia metodológica.RESULTADOS:
El total de prestaciones ascendió a 20051 (32% individuales, 5% grupales, 32% institucionales, 14% comunitarias y 17% en internación). Se encontró que existe una amplia implementación del programa, y en ambas dimensiones se evidenció la presencia de toda la gama de prestaciones postuladas.CONCLUSIONES:
Surgieron propuestas para optimizar el registro de información, dado que todos los tipos de prestaciones adquieren connotaciones particulares propias en el modelo comunitario, y resultan indispensables para lograr el éxito del programa de reforma de la atención en SM.

What is the situation of the Community Mental Health (CMH) program in terms of services provided in the "Hospital Area Programa Ingeniero Huergo" 30 years after the health care reform?OBJECTIVE: The overall objective was to develop an evaluative analysis of services provided under the CMH program in the hospital between 2005 and 2009.METHODS:
An exploratory research with a qualitative and quantitative design. The quantitative dimension used available secondary sources for a descriptive statistical analysis. The qualitative dimension involved individual and collective interviews to the Mental Health (MH) team, asking about a quantitative characterization on the theoretical model of the CMH program. A "Thematic analysis of qualitative data" was performed, and triangulation was used as a methodological strategy.RESULTS:
The services provided totaled 20.051 (32% individual, 5% in groups, 32% institutional, 14% community, and 17% with hospitalized people). According to the study there was a wide implementation of the program, with both dimensions showing the full range of benefits proposed by the program.CONCLUSIONS:
There were proposals to optimize the recording of information and data collection instrument. Since all types of assistances have their own characteristic in the model, even individual activities and admissions acquire a particular connotation, being indispensable for the success of the reform program in MH.
