This guidance is an update of WHO global influenza preparedness plan, the role of WHO and recommendations for national measures before and during pandemics, published by WHO in March 2005. The information and recommendations contained in this guidance document are the product of expert. In light of these developments, WHO decided to update its guidance to enable countries to be better prepared for the next pandemic.
