Evaluación de algunos indicadores del programa nacional para la prevención y el control de la infección intrahospitalaria

En este trabajo se evalúan los indicadores epidemiológicos establecidos en el Programa Nacional para la Prevención y Control de la Infección Intrahospitalaria. Se aplicó la encuesta de Prevalencia Instantánea de Infección Nosocomial propuesta por el Comité de Expertos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud en el Policlínico Hospital "Luis de la Puente Uceda", analizando su comportamiento según servicios médicos, sitio de localización más frecuente y asociación con maniobras invasivas. Se estudia el uso de antibióticoterapia y se evidencia el subregistro encontrado por la investigación con relación al reporte del Comité de Infección Intrahospitalaria.
The epidemiologic indicators established in the National Program for Prevention and Control of Intrahospital Infection are evaluated in this paper. The survey of Instantaneous Prevalence of Nosocomial Infection proposed by the Expert Committee of the World Health Organization was applied in "Luis de la Puente Uceda" Polyclinic-Hospital. Its behaviour was analyzed according to the medical services, the most frequent site of localization and the association with invasive maneuvers. The use of antibiotic therapy is studied and the subregister found by the research in connection with the report of the Committee of Intrahospital Infection is shown.
